The sponsors were International Society of Horticultural Sciences (ISHS), International Commission of Agricultural Engineering (CIGR), European Society of Agricultural Engineers (EurAgEng), Gödöllő University of Agricultural Sciences and Hungarian Academy of Sciences, National Committee for Technological Development, Hungary. The venue of the workshop was the Hotel Ében in Budapest and also the Campus of the Gödöllő University of Agricultural Sciences.
