Farmers' Parties: A Study in Electoral Adaptation
Farmers' Parties: A Study in Electoral Adaptation
Editorial Reviews
Book Description
This is a study in the electoral adaptation of political parties and party systems, based on an investigation of the formation and adaptation of farmers' parties in Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Special attention is paid to the reasons for the emergence of specific farmers' parties -absent in most other countries - in these three cases, and to the success and failures of their attempts to respond to the changing demands of the electorate.
