About the Author
Michael W. Guidry is professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Tennessee and an Adjunct Staff Member of the Physics Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. His recent research involves Type II supernovae, novae, X-ray bursters, large-scale element production networks, gamma-ray bursts, applications of dynamical symmetries to condensed matter systems, and development of object-oriented programming for scientific visualization and advanced educational technology.
