About the Author
Abdelmonem A. Afifi, the lead author, is Dean of the UCLA School of Public Health. His research centers around multivariate statistical data analysis, most recently meta-analysis, as well as broader issues of public health education. His co-author Martin Lee, also of UCLA, focuses on clinical trials and clinical trial design. He is also co-author of a recent applied immunology textbook. Co-author George W. Cobb is on the faculty at Mt. Holyoke College in Massachusetts, and is the author of Teaching Statistics, published by the Mathematical Association of America.
