Analytical Instrumentation Handbook
Editorial Reviews
Review
The excellent idea motivating this handbook was to compile practical descriptions of the most frequently used instrumental analytical methods, with information on sensitivity and applicability, and advice on how to optimize the measurements. . . .this book is highly recommended. Since this edition is 35% larger than its 1990 predecessor, libraries owning that edition will probably want to purchase this one.

. . .The second edition contains 25 chapters, each dealing with a particular class of instruments. New chapters cover X-ray methods and analysis and capillary electrophoresis. The material on infrared and Ram techniques is in a single chapter, allowing more direct comparison of these complementary vibrational/rotational spectroscopic methods. This book provides a comprehensive, up-to-date text. . .written in a clear, easy-to-read style. It is highly recommend...for any scientists who use analytical instruments.
